Lokanarkavu Temple Kerala

The Lokanarkavu Temple is located in Memunda in the Kozhikode district of India’s Spice Garden. An official temple of the Aryan Nagariks, the name of the temple is derived from the word ‘Lokamalayarkavu’ which can be broken into ‘world’, ‘mountain’, river’, and ‘grove’.

Dedicated to Goddess Durga, the temple has three main complexes that are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, and Lord Vishnu. Owing to its divine history and religious importance it is listed as one of the most spiritual pilgrimage sites in Kerala. This pious establishment is the host to the 30-days long ‘Mandala Utsavam’ in Kerala.
