Hill Palace museum kerala
Hill Palace boasts of being the largest museum in Kerala. Located in Tripunithura, Kochi, this heritage building was built in 1865. Built in traditional Kerala architecture, the museum has around 49 buildings and spreads across a scenic premise of 54 acres. During the initial days, it served as an administrative office to the Kochi Rajas.
It was later converted into a museum by the Archaeology Department in 1980, and was made public in the year 1986. At present, Hill Palace houses a beautiful Deer Park, an array of medicinal and rare plants, ancient paintings, murals, scriptures, manuscripts, coins, and belongings of the royal family. Visitors can also witness traditional attires, royal seats, furniture, weapons, potteries, and several other belongings of Kochi’s royal families.
