ArakkalKettu Museum Kerala

Built on a section of the famous Arakkal Royal Palace of the Arakkal family (the only Muslim royal family in Kerala), ArakkalKettu Museum was opened to public in 2005. Located in Ayikkara; around 3km from Kannu city, this historical museum showcases the royal lifestyle, cultures, and traditions of the region under the influence of its only Muslim dynasty.

Presently, ArakkalKettu Museum possesses a large collection of royal belongings. Ancient artefacts, royal heirlooms, royal seals, document boxes, antique telephones, telescopes, and grain boxes called ‘pathayam’ are the prized possession of this museum in Kerala. It also has ancient copies of the Holy Quran and several other Islamic artefacts.
