Hosdurg Fort at Kanhangad
Constructed by SomashekaraNayaka of Ikkeri, the historic Hosdurg Fort depicts a lot about the opulent past and diverse history of God’s Own Country. Built in typical Malabar architecture, this astounding fort also houses an intricate network of around 45 ancient caves.
Located in Kanhagad in the Kasaragod district, it is one of the least explore tourist attractions in Kerala. Though the fort is now on ruins, visitors can still discover its opulence while on a Kerala trip to Kasaragod. Hosdurg Fort also has a Lord Shiva Temple called ‘PoonkavanamKarpooreswara Temple’ within its premises.
