Bastion Bungalow, Fort Kochi
Situated on the River Road in Fort Kochi, Bastion Bungalow is a true reminiscent of the past. One of the most sought after tourist attractions in Kerala, this historic bungalow was constructed in the year 1667.
Bastion Bungalow got its name from the adjacent Stromberg Bastion that belongs to Old Dutch Fort. The bungalow is built in a circular order and is adorned with verandas and tiled roofs. One can still feel the essence of Dutch architecture and culture from the construction of the Bastion Bungalow. At present, this heritage site serves as the official residence of the District Sub-Collector.
