Guruvayur Temple, Guruvayur

The sacred GuruvayoorSree Krishna Temple is located in the Guruvayur town of God’s Own Country. A temple dedicated to Lord Krishna; an avatar of Lord Vishnu, it is one of the highest visited pilgrimages in Kerala and is visited by thousands of devotees every day.

This pious temples is often referred as ‘BhulokaVaikunta’ or the ‘Holy Abode of Lord Vishnu on Earth’ and the ‘Dwarka of South India’. The temple has been following devout puja rituals since more than 5,000 years. Though only Hindus are allowed to enter the GuruvayoorSree Krishna Temple, it has become a popular landmark in Kerala’s tourism map.
