Both places are popular tourist destinations, but Kanyakumari has a very spiritual nature whereas Kovalam is more or less like a hippie town. Our executive will be present at the airport to welcome you and take you to the hotel we have arranged. After checking in and freshening up, you can head out to bask in some sun and play with the waves. Kovalam is a collection of many different beaches, like the Main Beach, Hawa Beach, etc. offering many different experiences. The beaches are crescent shaped with coconut grooves on the shore and mossy rocks extending to the sea. Spend the day visiting each beach and experiencing the unique vibes. If you are an adventure junkie, you can also indulge in water sports like snorkeling, surfing, boating, etc. that are offered in Kovalam under the guidance of experts. Visit the light house in the main beach and catch a spectacular view of the sun, sea and the city. However, make sure you check the timings to avoid getting disappointed in the last minute.
After all the walking and activities the previous day, you can reserve the second day for some serious unwinding. A trip to Kerala is not really complete if you do not experience on of the best services the state has to offer. There are many centers offering Ayurvedic massage, spa and treatments. Find out one that suits your requirements and budget. Apart from this you can also visit the Halcyon Castle, that was build in the 30s for the royal family of Travancore. It is now converted into a heritage hotel. Before you leave the place, shop for souvenirs from the handicraft, antique shops in Kovalam.
After your breakfast the next day, start your journey to Kanyakumari. Visit the famous Kanyakumari Temple and listen to the many intriguing tales surrounding it. There are other temples around too, which you can pay a visit to. You can next head for the mesmerizing Kanyakumari Beach, which is a meeting point of three seas and is famous for its sunsets and moonrises. To visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the place where Swami Vivekananda meditated and attained enlightenment, take a ferry ride. The calmness of the place is bound to have a positive effect on you. Right next to it is the imposing statue of Thiruvalluvar. If you want to d some shopping, jewelry and artifacts made of shells are very common and popular in Kanyakumari.
You will be driven back to the airport by our executive. After the spiritual time, all the massages and spas, and watching a handful of spectacular sunsets, you will be going back with a happy and peaceful mind.
